Take the party atmosphere of Plantation Island and the accommodation quality of our Sonaisali experience and you’ve got Mana. Located just 50 minutes via ferry from the Denerau marina on the mainland, this island package is fast becoming the most popular schoolies destination in Fiji.

With crystal clear coral waters and white sandy beaches, you can design your own holiday and partake in as much or little as you like. Relax in the shallows on a lilo, sip fresh coconuts on a neighbouring island, grab a massage at the famed resort spa or opt for some water-skiing or wakeboarding. Then, as the snorkel goggles are hung out to dry, Unleashed have created two unforgettable party scenes: International DJs fire up at the afternoon pool party before switching to the central party area for the main event. Its seven nights a week with themed costume parties a highlight.

Sprawling across 300 acres, 350 schoolies exclusively pack out Mana Island resort - perfect for the traveller who wants the happy medium between party central and contemporary accommodation.

See manafiji.com for more information.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE MANA

Direct from Mana Island, past schoolies share their experiences.

“My favourite thing about Mana Island schoolies was that the whole island was dedicated to just teens and it had a big beach party type feel every night. Everyone there was also heaps chilled and nice and there were plenty of activities to do.” Mitch, 17, Mana Island, 2012

“Schoolies on Mana was such a great experience. Everyone was so positive and outgoing and it brought together a keen group of teens who are ready to 'let go' and celebrate after so much study. You get the chance to meet a lot of people and form new friendships that will hopefully last for a very long time. We were all there for the same reason, and that in itself is awesome! So many crazy memories.” Matt, 18, Mana Island 2012

“Mana was the best for partying away the stresses of the HSC. Everyone, including the crew, were so lovely. You could do so many different things during the day. My favourites were going to the spa, snorkelling and tanning.” Isabel, 18, Mana Island 2012

“Mana Island was really safe and fun. It was easy to relax with your friends and forget about an entire year’s worth of HSC stress. Everyone is in the same mood so it was easy to make new friends as well. To me, being in another country was an added bonus. The locals were lovely and we were able to pick up a few pointers about the Fijian culture.” Alexandra, 18, Mana Island 2012

FREE ACTIVITIES

Organised by Unleashed:

  • Rugby with the Fijians: Just like any tropical island destination, home rules don’t exist and football is no exception. Similar to a game of offside touch for both boys and girls, the rules are the same as touch footy but with one difference: If you pass the ball backwards you can then pass it forward. Ask an Unleashed crew member for game details.
  • Volleyball: Round up some friends and head to the beach for some volleyball in the sun. Or at least become part of the sideline cheer squad!
  • Fiji Baseball: If you’ve never played baseball with a soccer ball then you should probably only try it on Fijian soil! The pitcher rolls the ball to the batter who kicks it into the field. You can either catch or run the batter out.
  • Ball games: Get to know some new friends by playing a few ball games in the afternoon. We’ve got tunnel ball, dodge ball, bunker hill and five pin soccer.
  • Chimp Racing: The first person on each team must hold their ankles and race down the course and back again without letting go. The first team to get through all their members wins. Ask an Unleashed crew member to set up a game.
  • Banana Olympics: Only on a tropical island can you get away with this one. Points are awarded to the team who can get through a series of games involving bananas. Think relays, banana tossing, running with the yellow fruit between your knees, leap frog and blind folded events. If someone ruins their banana, they are out. The team with the most points and with a solid, un-squished banana wins.

PAID ACTIVITIES (OPTIONAL)

(all prices are in $FJD)

Parasailing

Price: $82.00pp (single) or $56pp (tandem) for 10 mins.

If you’ve always thought about it, a tropical destination is the place to try it. The boat will look like a tiny little dot when you’re flying (100ft) high. Take a bird’s eye view of the islands and surrounding coral reefs by parasailing solo or in tandem with a friend. Be sure to take a camera to catch the panoramic views!

Jet skiing

Price: $87.00 (15 mins), $148.00 (30 mins) or $256.00 (60 mins)

Blast across the water’s edge on a high-powered jet ski. Suitable for the both a beginner and experienced rider, prepare for an adrenaline pumping ride with a friend or solo.

Water skiing, Knee boarding or Wakeboarding

Price: $41.00 (10 mins) or $61 (20 mins)

Biscuit Ride

Price: $41.00pp (single), $36.00pp (tandem) for 10 mins or $61.00pp (single), $56.00pp (tandem) for 20 mins.

Banana Ride

Price: $41.00pp (10 minutes). Each additional adult is $20.00.

Grab some friends and jump on the back of this inflatable banana. Attached to a speeding boat, the aim of the game is to not fall off. But we think it’s merely impossible. Go on, try and prove us wrong!

Fishing Trips

Minimum 4 people required $46.00 per person.

Numerous reefs make Fiji an exciting place to fish. The most common catches include Wahoo, Sail, Barracuda, Giant Trevally, Tuna and Mahi Mahi. Book the boat with three of your mates! Departs 4pm daily returns 6pm.
